The Author
I am Antonio Marco, Lecturer in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Essex. I am interested in the evolution of genes and genomes, and particularly in how gene regulatory systems originate and evolve. Currently I’m working in the evolution of microRNAs, small molecules that regulate every known biological process. I have an interest in history of science (as almost every scientist I know) and in how Evolutionary Genetics developed into a mature scientific discipline. That’s why I decided to post my views on history and evolution in this blog: eBLOGution. I warn you that, as English is not my mother tongue, you’ll frequently find typos, misspellings, grammatical errors and very long and undecipherable sentences. My apologies about that. I will appreciate feedback on my writing and, I promise, I’ll work hard to make the posts as much clear as possible.
Hope you enjoy it!

“My apologises about that”… was that intended as an example typo?

Not really. It was a true typo, but it is a good example of what I meant. Now corrected. Thanks for pointing this out.
